The Medical Intellectual's Self-Defense Kit (MISDK) is a set of hand-selected books and materials for medical students interested in learning more about the moral and economic case for capitalism in medicine. The materials are accessible, engaging, and assume no prior knowledge of philosophy or economics. (Details.)
Through the voluntary financial support of individuals like you, we are able to distribute the kit to interested medical students at no charge.
To receive a kit, write to us and tell us a little about your background, how you became interested in these issues, and how you found out about the project. Don't forget to include your mailing address, and please attach a photograph for your profile on the recipients page. (You may always change your photo later or request anonymity if you have concerns about privacy.)
Current Availability
YES! The Lucidicus Project is currently accepting requests for kits. (Last updated: November 21, 2008.)
Note: Due to risk of loss, high shipping costs, and long shipping delays, we may not be able to send the full kit to students residing in certain countries outside of the United States. Depending on your location, we may have to send only the pamphlets and/or CD, and not both books.
